TOR VM Dental Polishing

TOR VM Polishing Discs No. 1.071 are flexible abrasive discs designed for the sequential finishing and polishing of composite dental restorations. They help remove excess restorative material, refine contours, smooth restoration margins and create a polished final surface.

The discs use a thin polymer backing with an abrasive coating and a central metal connector. Their flexibility allows them to adapt to convex, concave, proximal and labial tooth surfaces. TOR VM identifies four abrasive stages: coarse, medium, fine and superfine.

The included mandrel connects the polishing discs to a compatible contra-angle dental handpiece. According to the manufacturer, the discs are single-use, while the mandrel may be reused after appropriate cleaning and sterilization.

Color and Grit System

• Blue: Coarse — gross reduction
• Green: Medium — contouring
• Yellow: Fine — finishing
• White/Grey: Superfine — final polishing

The color-coded sequence helps clinicians select the appropriate level of abrasiveness throughout the finishing procedure.
