Welcome to Smile Dent BD. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, products, services, ordering system, clinic setup support, and customer account facilities.

By accessing the website, registering an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please do not use the website or place an order if you do not agree with them.

These terms are intended to operate alongside applicable Bangladesh consumer-protection requirements and the Digital Commerce Operation Guidelines, 2021. Those rules address matters such as clear product descriptions, prices and additional charges, stock status, seller contact information, and delivery obligations.

You may need to create an account to access certain services.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate registration information.
  • Keeping your password confidential.
  • Preventing unauthorized access to your account.
  • Updating your phone number, email address, and delivery information.
  • Informing us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account activity.

Smile Dent BD may suspend or close an account that contains false information, is used fraudulently, or violates these terms.

4. Product Information

We aim to provide accurate information about each product, including:

  • Product name and category
  • Brand or manufacturer
  • Price
  • Images
  • Technical specifications
  • Size, quantity, colour, or variation
  • Stock status
  • Warranty information, where applicable
  • Usage or storage information, where available

Product images are for reference. Packaging, labels, colour shades, and minor design details may change because of manufacturer updates without affecting the product’s essential specifications or function.

Customers must review the product description and compatibility information before ordering.

5. Professional and Clinical Use

Some products sold by Smile Dent BD are intended for use by qualified dentists, dental technicians, healthcare professionals, laboratories, clinics, or trained personnel.

By purchasing such a product, you confirm that:

  • You have the necessary knowledge, training, or professional supervision to use it.
  • You will follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • You will comply with applicable sterilization, installation, storage, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • You will not use a product outside its intended purpose.

Information on our website is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment, technical training, or the manufacturer’s official instructions.

6. Prices and Charges

Product prices are displayed in Bangladeshi Taka unless stated otherwise.

The final payable amount may include:

  • Product price
  • Delivery charge
  • Installation charge
  • Clinic setup or consultation fees
  • VAT, tax, or regulatory charges, where applicable
  • Payment-processing or transaction fees, where disclosed

We may update prices due to supplier costs, exchange-rate changes, market conditions, taxes, or stock availability. Price changes will not normally affect an order that has already been confirmed and paid, unless there was an obvious pricing or technical error.

7. Orders

Submitting an order does not automatically mean that we have accepted it.

An order becomes confirmed after we have:

  • Verified the product and stock availability.
  • Verified the customer’s contact and delivery information.
  • Received any required advance or full payment.
  • Sent an order-confirmation message, email, invoice, or phone confirmation.

We may contact you to confirm Cash on Delivery orders, high-value orders, wholesale orders, or orders containing specialized equipment.

8. Right to Refuse or Cancel an Order

Smile Dent BD may refuse, hold, or cancel an order when:

  • A product is unavailable or out of stock.
  • The displayed price or product information contains an obvious error.
  • Payment is unsuccessful, reversed, or suspected to be fraudulent.
  • The delivery address is incomplete or outside our service area.
  • We cannot verify the customer.
  • The ordered product is restricted to qualified or authorized users.
  • The order violates these terms or applicable law.
  • A supplier or manufacturer is unable to fulfil a special order.

If we cancel a prepaid order, an eligible refund will be processed according to our Return & Refund Policy.

9. Payment

Available payment methods may include:

  • Cash on Delivery
  • bKash
  • Nagad
  • Bank transfer
  • Debit or credit card
  • Approved online payment gateway
  • Advance payment for special or high-value orders

Payment is considered complete only after the funds have been successfully received and verified.

Customers must not send payment to any personal number or bank account unless it has been officially confirmed by Smile Dent BD.

10. Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery may not be available for:

  • High-value equipment
  • Customized products
  • Specially sourced products
  • Wholesale orders
  • Remote delivery locations
  • Customers with repeated refused deliveries

We may require an advance payment before confirming such orders.

Customers should keep the payable amount ready and receive the parcel within the courier’s permitted delivery period.

11. Delivery

Delivery times depend on:

  • Product availability
  • Customer location
  • Courier service
  • Order value and size
  • Equipment handling requirements
  • Public holidays, weather, transport disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control

Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in writing.

The Digital Commerce Operation Guidelines, 2021 include requirements concerning timely handover to delivery services and disclosure of delivery timing. Our displayed delivery estimates and order confirmation should therefore remain consistent with our actual fulfilment process.

12. Delivery Information and Failed Delivery

Customers must provide:

  • Correct recipient name
  • Active phone number
  • Complete delivery address
  • District, area, road, and house details
  • Any necessary delivery instructions

Smile Dent BD will not be responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete customer information.

If a customer refuses a confirmed order without a valid reason, the customer may be required to pay the delivery and return charges before placing another order.

13. Receiving and Inspecting Products

Customers should inspect the parcel at the time of delivery whenever possible.

If the parcel appears damaged, opened, incomplete, or tampered with:

  • Take clear photographs.
  • Record an uninterrupted unboxing video.
  • Keep the packaging and invoice.
  • Contact us immediately.

Claims involving visible damage, shortages, or incorrect items should be submitted within the period stated in our Return & Refund Policy.

14. Returns, Replacements and Refunds

Returns, replacements, cancellations, and refunds are governed by our separate Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

Products may not be accepted for return when they have been:

  • Used
  • Installed
  • Sterilized
  • Opened where hygiene or sterility is relevant
  • Altered or repaired
  • Damaged after delivery
  • Returned without their original packaging and accessories

Nothing in these terms is intended to remove any mandatory consumer right available under applicable Bangladesh law. The Consumers’ Right Protection Act, 2009 addresses unfair and anti-consumer practices, including failure to provide a promised product or service for the price paid.

15. Warranty

Warranty applies only where stated on the product page, invoice, warranty card, or manufacturer documentation.

A warranty claim may require:

  • Original invoice
  • Warranty card
  • Serial number
  • Photos or video
  • Technical inspection
  • Manufacturer or authorized service-centre approval

Warranty generally does not cover:

  • Accidental or physical damage
  • Misuse or negligence
  • Improper installation
  • Unauthorized repair
  • Voltage fluctuations
  • Incorrect sterilization or cleaning
  • Failure to follow instructions
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Consumable components

Repair or replacement time may depend on the manufacturer, supplier, or authorized service provider.

16. Special Orders and Customized Products

Products that are specially imported, customized, engraved, configured, or sourced at the customer’s request may require advance payment.

Once procurement or customization has started:

  • The order may not be cancelled.
  • Advance payments may be non-refundable.
  • Delivery estimates may change due to supplier, customs, or transport delays.

These conditions will be disclosed before the special order is confirmed.

17. Wholesale and Institutional Orders

Wholesale prices, dealer prices, clinic rates, and institutional quotations may have separate conditions concerning:

  • Minimum order quantity
  • Advance payment
  • Delivery schedule
  • Credit approval
  • Validity of quotation
  • Product availability
  • Warranty
  • Tax documentation

A written quotation or purchase agreement will take priority over these general terms where the two conflict.

18. Clinic Setup Services

Clinic setup consultation may include product recommendations, layout guidance, equipment supply, installation coordination, or technical support, depending on the agreed scope.

Unless confirmed in writing:

  • A consultation does not include architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, or regulatory approval.
  • Site preparation remains the customer’s responsibility.
  • Additional installation or transport work may involve additional charges.
  • The customer must ensure that the premises meet equipment requirements.

The final scope, price, timeline, and responsibilities should be confirmed through a written quotation or agreement.

19. Promotions, Coupons and Discounts

Promotional offers may be subject to:

  • A validity period
  • Minimum purchase value
  • Product or category restrictions
  • Usage limits
  • Customer eligibility
  • Stock availability

Coupons cannot normally be exchanged for cash or combined with other promotions unless expressly allowed.

We may cancel a promotion affected by fraud, misuse, technical error, or unauthorized publication.

20. Product Reviews and User Content

Customers may submit genuine reviews, ratings, images, or comments.

You must not submit content that is:

  • False or misleading
  • Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory
  • Unrelated to the product or service
  • Promotional spam
  • Infringing another person’s rights
  • Containing private or confidential information

We may moderate or remove content that violates these standards.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.

  • Business operations
  • Website features
  • Payment or delivery procedures
  • Applicable laws or regulations

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Changes will apply from the date of publication unless otherwise stated.

23. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Bangladesh.

Customers should first contact Smile Dent BD so that we can try to resolve the issue directly.

If a complaint cannot be resolved, the customer may use any remedy available under applicable law, including the complaint mechanisms of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection. The Directorate publishes consumer-rights information and provides facilities for submitting complaints.
