DPI Zinc Oxide

DPI Zinc Oxide Powder is a professional dental material manufactured by Dental Products of India. It is supplied as a dry powder and requires mixing with an appropriate liquid—commonly eugenol—to prepare zinc oxide–eugenol, or ZOE, cement. The resulting cement may be used for temporary restorative and sedative dental procedures, depending on the selected formulation and clinical indication.

The powder is designed to mix into a workable paste with the compatible liquid component. Water helps catalyse the zinc oxide–eugenol setting reaction, forming a hardened zinc-eugenolate material. The mixing ratio, consistency and working time should be determined according to the product instructions and the intended clinical use.
